July Rookie Event: the “Settlement Process”
Mark your calendar for the upcoming free Rookie event, open to all GCAAR members! Robert Moses, of Home team Title, will help you explore the necessary steps, from contract ratification to final signatures.

REMINDER: As of January 26, 2009 Sellers are required to disclose whether or not a property is located in a development district OR a proposed development district.
Montgomery County has enhanced its website to include information regarding Development Districts pursuant to Bill #36-07 (Chapter 14 of the MC Code). In collaboration with the Department of Technology Services (DTS) and the Department of Finance, the online calculator for Estimated Property Tax Disclosures now includes information to locate existing and proposed development districts and ways to obtain information on estimated charges. Sellers and their agents can obtain this information by street address or tax account number. The county has also included maps of the properties.
This new information is provided under the “Explanation” and “FAQ” tabs on the menu (maps are located in question #8 of the FAQ). Here are the web links:

DC Broker License Online Transcript Clarification
If you have already completed the courses required to renew your DC Broker license and go to view your CE transcript online at pulseportal.com, your “current period” transcript will show no credits completed. Why? Since we are past the Broker license renewal deadline, if you have completed your courses, the “current period” is the period ending in February 2011. If you would like to view your transcript for the period ending February 2009, change the toggle button to “previous period” located on the lower left portion of the page after you login.
